Dear Do It Tennis, Thank you for allowing me to comment about the KSwiss Utrascendor 7.0 shoes. First of all, I am a USTA 5.0 all court 42yr old tennis player who plays singles 3-4 times a week on hard courts. I've played for approx 30 years. I'm a near flat foot toe dragger and no shoes lasts more than 3-4 months top--some only half that. So I usually look for durability first and buy shoes w/a 6 mo warr. and have paid for it with blisters, bunyons, and callouses over the years. Rarely, in all that time have I found the perfect quality blend of durability and comfort in a middle of the line shoe. I usually purchase by word of mouth or if lucky a local shoe shop has one for me to try out but usually mail order is sop. If I find one near worthy I stick with it but almost always they discontinue that model and the whole search process starts all over again. I've tried: Prince, Reebok, Head, Nike, Addidas, and the Wilson Pro Staff Elite(discontinued item) shoes being the last model shoes before buying KSwiss so I will comment on them. The Pro staffs were heavy but came w/a 6 mo.; they were pretty comfortable and durable compared to all other shoes in the past and lasted 3 mos plus warranty. Yet, they were narrow--causing cramps and even severe pain in my feet at times so I never could tighten the laces half decent. This was indicative of every other shoe I've played with. Still, with blisters I used them for 2-3 years until they sent new replacements(wilson quicktracks) they were horrible!!Finally, I went on-line and looked at many shoe reviews and decided on the KSwiss Ultrascendors. True to some reviews these shoes felt broken in and very comfortable right out of the box! I can never recall that happening to me before but I was still wary about durability and lasting comfort. At 165 lbs these shoes lasted me 5 mos avg play 4x week thru last summer in 90-103 degree heat. Most importantly, all the foot ailments abovementioned have disappeared with these shoes! At 185 lbs (gained weight during winter season) shoes lasted 4 mos.(same toe drag wear). Still, I love these shoes because they are affordable, give good support, are light yet durable, very comfortable for me, and do not grind my feet,cramp my arches, or blister my toes like all the shoes I've endured over the years having hideous calluses and bunyons to show for. Simply put, so far these are the best shoes I have ever bought--now on my third pair-- hope and pray KSwiss never discontinues them!
